Santorini and on to Crete

Had a wonderful time in Santorini, and visited Oia at one end of the island as well as a local winery (co-op of some 1200 growers, each with an acre or less). Grapes grow in small nests on the ground to conserve water, rather than the trellising we’re used to.

The trip back to the ferry port was an adventure, taking about 2.5hrs to snake down the mountainside. Actually saw a few people leaving their bus and running downhill with suitcases to catch their ferry.
