And ….

We’re back home. Sunny spring day today!

Just a few more photos

Waiting for departure in SkyClub at Narita, so thought I’d put up just a few more selected photos from last several days. Cherry blossoms in Kanazawa The remaining part of the Industry Promotion complex near the epicenter of the A… Continue Reading…

A little catch up.

Had a great 4 nights in Kyoto, seeing many temples and shrines, an evening with Geishas and a day trip to Hiroshima and the very moving Peace Gardens and museum. Back to Tokyo last night for Taiko drumming, sumo wrestling… Continue Reading…

Off to Kyoto

Caught the JR limited express train to Kyoto, where we’ll be seeing a very small fraction of the 1400 temples and shrines. Beautiful sunshine this morning.

In Kanazawa

Just finished traditional Japanese breakfast, and will be off to tour Samurai area, gardens and more today. Interesting way to access Pay TV.

At Tobira Onsen Resort

At Tobira Onsen

We have checked in to our hot spring resort hotel, with a traditional Japanese tatami room accommodation in the mountains. Or, shall we say, traditional in style but very spacious. Multi-course keiseki dinner tonight.
